We are grateful for all the blessings we enjoyed in the year 2008. Even with an ever hectic and unstable world around us, the Lord continues to watch over us and help us overcome the trials that we face. We hope the New Year brings peace and continued blessings to you all.

Holiday Happenings!
Christmas morning was very exciting in the Larson home this year. Jason and Aubrey were very happy to see that Santa could indeed find them in North Carolina.
The funniest part for Aubrey is unwrapping. She even wanted to save the paper so she could wrap up random items for fun. Thank goodness she was too distracted to see Mom stuff the paper into the trash bag.
Of course the highlight of the morning was opening this gift from Santa. Aubrey has been waiting for months to get the new Barbie from Barbie and the Diamond Castle.
Barbie sings 2 songs and her skirt can be flipped to a new one. We have listened to Barbie sing so much that we all can sing right along with her.
Jason also was happy unwrapping his surprises. His stack piled up quickly. Star Wars, Transformers and Nascar were the sought for items on his list.
And of course, what Christmas would be complete without getting socks and/or underwear in your stocking. This year Santa thought socks would do.
Santa also knew our young Jedi needed a weapon to fight against the Dark side. This lightsaver will protect us from Darth Vader and evil transformer Megatron.
On Tuesday the 30th, Jason and Trent went to Winston-Salem to watch Wake Forest mens basketball team play Radford. They got there early enough to get a cool poster that will join Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Captain Jack Sparrow on Jason's bedroom wall.
Jason had a lot of fun and was proud to wear his Wake Forest shirt to support the team. He said that if BYU came back to play Wake Forest then he would have to cheer for both teams. Jason and Dad were happy to have some fun male bonding time. Aubrey and Mommy did a little shopping while the boys were gone.
In keeping with the continual holiday celebration at our house, we decided to welcome the new year in with fun family party complete with party hats/crowns and Noiseless blower thingys. We played a few games (Trouble & Clue Jr.) and found that Aubrey has inherited the competitive spirit and ADHD of the Robinson Clan. We hope she grows out of it! :)
Jason wanted to stay up until midnight so bad so he could watch the ball drop in Time Square. He struggled to keep his eyes open until about 11:20 and then gave in.
Jason wasn't the only one struggling with droopy eyelid syndrome. This is a reoccuring ailment that has afflicted Trent ever since we got our reclining couch.
Aubrey, however, was having a grand old time. The late hour had no effect on our night owl. She continued to celebrate the coming new year in style.
Then at 11:59 her batteries went out. She just dropped where she was and missed ushering in the new year by about 30 seconds!
