Happy 4th Birthday, Aubrey!

Four years ago a little bundle of joy joined our family. She brought hugs, kisses and laughter to each of us. We can't believe she is 4 already! She chose for the "theme" of her birthday the Backyardigans. She loves to watch and sing along with all the fun characters.

Her cake was posing quite a challenge for Mom, so I improvised. I couldn't find any figurines to put on top of the cake, so I printed of these pictures on cardstock and stuck them in the cake. It actually turned out cute. As you can see, Austin (the little purple guy) is even having a grand time sleding down the snowy pink hill.

She had to pose a bit before blowing out the candles in one big puff!

Grandma Robinson sent her a special gift that she just loves. It was the cutest crocheted purse filled with "beauty things". We had to go through the bag first before she would consider opening the rest of her presents.

Her brother also knew just what she would like and got her a princess make-up kit. It was filled with even more "beauty things" that she couldn't wait to try out.

She was excited to get her own computer. Barbie seems to be the theme this year for her. She also got 2 barbies that go with the one she got at christmas.

We weren't looking to good today. Thank goodness we can put LOTS of things on to beautify ourselves. She was insisting the Mom do the same.

I believe a career as a make-up artist and/or model is on the horizon. I really like the blend of colors. That shade of pink really plumps up her cheeks. Fashion runways, here comes Aubrey!

Of course, Jason was just interested in the food. He was even a good sport to wear a party hat in honor of the special occasion.
